![]() ![]() Spindle diameter is 24mm on the drive side, and 22mm on the non-drive side where the splines are. Crank spindle is pressed into the drive side crank arm. Spindle length varies depending on type of crank (road, Mountain, Triple, etc.). Scroll to bottom of page for photos of each crank type.Ĭurrent Shimnao crank specification. Then use the chart below to help identify key crankset dimensions needed to select the correct bottom bracket for your frame. First identify your frame's Bottom Bracket Standard. It also had a Power2max spider on it for a bunch of that time.Finding the correct bottom bracket for your frame can be challenging. I used a Rotor 3D+ on my Haanjo Trail until I sold it. The Red's do not have a removable spider and have 68mm wide spindles, not 86mm. I think all their cranks with the removable spiders are. Their Force BB30's are actually BB386EVO. The "long spindle" Quarqs have 86mm long spindles and are really just BB386EVO spec.but SRAM refuses to acknowledge and use that term. A BB386EVO crank fits just fine on a 2015 or 2016 (I don't know anything about the newest ones yet) Haanjo Trail without even having to swap the bottom bracket. A true BB30 crank only has 68mm of axle and would be too narrow for the Haanjo Trail. ![]() SRAM makes it wicked confusing because they call everything BB30 (or PF30) no matter the length of the axle. When they say 'long' I believe they are referring to the BB386EVO axle spec where you have ~86mm of axle on the crank. Has anyone tried one of the long spindle 30mm Quarq cranksets? I have been eyeing this bike for a long time but am struggling to find a way to get a power meter on it. Otherwise, I'm intrigued by the new derailleur announced with the newest Dura Ace apparently they've eliminated the arm for this very reason. Obviously not a problem if you went to a 1x drivetrain. So, you might get a bigger tire between the stays.but it's likely to snag the derailleur arm. However, the *real* limiting factor would be the front derailleur! These Shimano front derailleurs have a super tall arm that, when in the big ring, gets super close to the tire. You could probably go a bit wider than the Happy Mediums in terms of chainstay clearance. I never measured my Happy Mediums with calipers, but the "35" Compass Bon Jon Pass tires I put on the stock rims actually measure out to 36-36.5-ish. Happy Mediums are 40 stock, but actual width tends to be wider with the wider rims. ![]() I believe these are a wider version of the stock cranks to fit disc spacing.so standard road compact may not fit. I'm not sure about this, but you might look into crank width. Specs online are sketchy what width tire comes on the bike? Also, any thoughts on widest trie that will fit ManymThanks I have an Ultegra DI2 and compact cranks set sitting on a shelf, thinking using these components to upgrade.
